If 90s the actual demand level for double daily it makes it a very hard amount to right-size capacity for with what the only plausible operators have - its very unlikely that would become 180 for a single flight and a full 737 and its more than a double daily ATR72 can do either. It seems Ryanair’s Dublin route averaged less than 90 passengers per flight in the busy Q3 2023 period. QR and EI have a codeshare partnership already, which according to QR is only in its 'first phase' Ī few interesting points in this article about passenger numbers from Kerry. I don't think anybody is suggesting that there's significant DUB-DOH direct traffic, any route would depend and rely on connections. In actual fact, some people fly DUB-MAN-BGI at the moment, of course.
Not sure if that would work so well out of Dublin. That didn't last long and there's way more appeal for people to visit DXB than DOH.īGI works well out of MAN because BA Holidays book a lot of people on the direct flight. It only works for QR due to the connections. I feel as if EI could do well on the following (some of which have already been mentioned by the CEO, albeit not announced): In theory the Middle East is now an option on the XLR (could feed into QR in DOH) or maybe even BDA
While it’s always great to see new dots on the DUB route map & if BNA/RDU come to pass it’ll be fantastic, the total reliance on USA (as previously discussed) has to be ended.
